The work, in practice

A customer can be relevant to a service and still be unsuitable for a proposed message. The right question is not simply whether an address exists. It is why this business may use this channel for this purpose now. Procora's marketing workflow remains planned; the preference example sends nothing.

01 · Marketing & Repeat Business

Separate commercial relevance from contact eligibility

The fictional Belgian bicycle retailer may have a reliable service history and a useful next service to discuss. That does not establish the contact basis. Record the intended purpose, recipient market, channel and the evidence for the particular relationship. A marketing preference and a reply to an existing service question are different kinds of information.

The Spanish appointment example needs its own market and channel assessment rather than inheriting the retailer's decision. This page does not provide one permission rule that certifies messages across Europe. If the evidence is missing, unclear or inconsistent, block the proposed action and give the responsible person a review task. Approval of wording cannot repair unknown eligibility.

02 · Marketing & Repeat Business

Make the evidence specific enough to review

A proposed evidence record should explain the source, collection time, relevant purpose and channel, the business concerned and the customer's choice. Preserve the original wording or a reliable reference so a person can check what was actually agreed. A generic imported note saying customer is not a substitute for a reviewable record.

Avoid inferring broader permission from a narrow request. Asking about one workshop job does not automatically approve recurring offers or another channel. Corrections and new choices need their own time and source. The example illustrates these requirements; the existing consent-note database field is not represented as a complete operational evidence system or legal certification.

03 · Marketing & Repeat Business

Assess promotions, administration and reviews separately

A confirmation for an agreed appointment, an offer for another service and a neutral invitation to describe an experience have different purposes. Keep their wording and contact assessment separate. Adding a commercial offer to a practical message changes the job; do not hide that change behind a familiar reminder label.

For a proposed neutral review, review the relevant country and platform conditions without treating the invitation as a campaign automatically. Referral incentives also change the assessment. The useful distinction is visible purpose and a justified decision, not a claim that every communication needs the same checkbox or that an administrative record permits all later promotion.

04 · Marketing & Repeat Business

Use language and service preferences for their actual purpose

A language preference tells the team how to make an appropriate message understandable. It does not set the person's country, convert an offer's currency or change a subscription. Location and preferred service may help relevance, but they cannot overturn a request to stop. Keep the customer's latest choice available alongside any older history used for the proposed audience.

If a customer asks a person to take over, pause unsuitable promotional work and make the owner clear. When systems disagree about a preference, resolve the conflict before contact rather than choosing the more permissive value. A future process needs an agreed update route and source freshness; the public control changes only a fictional example.

05 · Marketing & Repeat Business

Apply an opt-out to pending promotional work

The demonstration records one new opt-out and cancels that person's future promotional steps. A stop should not wait for the next campaign import or leave another branch of the same proposed job active. A shared suppression check belongs close to each future action, with an explainable reason and a responsible owner for any discrepancy.

Stopping promotion does not erase existing appointments or prevent appropriate handling of a customer's own request. Keep the purposes distinct and respect the recorded scope. An owner must not manually bypass a stop just to increase the audience. Resetting the fictional demonstration restores its sample state; it does not reverse or delete any real preference.

06 · Marketing & Repeat Business

Coordinate contact across services

A customer can appear in more than one relevant group: an expected repeat service, a reactivation list or a completed-interaction review. The proposed scope needs common limits and priorities so those jobs do not all contact the person independently. Agree how a current conversation, unresolved complaint or new booking changes pending work.

A limit is not a replacement for evidence; allowing one message per period does not make an otherwise unsuitable message eligible. Define timing in the business's actual timezone and avoid treating a language change as a timing change. Source outages or revoked access should pause the proposed process rather than fall back to an old audience.

07 · Marketing & Repeat Business

Test the stop before considering an operational pilot

Use fictional cases for unknown evidence, a changed channel preference, opt-out after selection, duplicate identity, recent booking and human takeover. Verify that each proposed branch produces a clear blocked or cancelled state and a review task where necessary. Test conflicts between sources as well as the uncomplicated eligible customer.

The marketing services remain planned and unpriced. Current inbound-channel tools, owner notifications and suppression storage are useful foundations, not proof that a complete campaign is enabled. Discussing the service stores a scope enquiry without giving promotional consent or granting sending rights. A future pilot would need separate agreement on evidence, provider setup, responsibilities and the applicable market checks.

Questions worth answering

Does a business email address make promotional contact eligible?

No automatic eligibility is assumed. The intended country, recipient, purpose, channel and supporting evidence still need review. Danish electronic-marketing guidance expressly includes business recipients; European markets should be assessed in their own context.

Can a missing record be overridden by approving the draft?

No. A content decision and a contact-evidence decision are separate. Unknown eligibility blocks the proposed step until an authorised person resolves the underlying record.

Does submitting a service enquiry opt me into marketing?

No. The scoping enquiry and marketing choice are separate. The form asks about your process and stores a review reference; it does not activate a customer campaign, subscription or promotional permission.
